MODEL T CLUB TOURS THE NCCHP MUSEUM

NCCHP recently hosted a visit by the Connecticut Crankin' Yanks Model T club. Club members enjoyed the NCCHP tour, while other visitors and passers-by were treated to a lot of beautiful Model T eye-candy parked in front of the Noble & Cooley main building on Water Street. One of the Model T's on display at the museum (the Noble & Cooley delivery truck) also joined the group in front of the building.

Readers are reminded that the NCCHP Museum is open from noon to 3 PM on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month thru October so time may be running out but the weather is perfect for your 2019 visit. Pretty soon it will be leaf-peeping season so come and enjoy the beautiful scenery and a visit to NCCHP.

“Abigail Adams” Wednesday, August 21st at 6:30 PM 

Sheryl Faye appears in costume and persona as the first Second Lady and the second First Lady of the Unites States. She engagingly presents Abigail Adams and many details of her life from childhood to her marriage to 2nd President John Adams in her performance.

Come be captivated by Abigail Adams life and work, as Ms Faye brings us back in time and has everyone thinking about her plea of "Remember the ladies". Prepare to be amazed! 

This NCCHP living history event is free to museum members and free-will donations from others of $10 to help offset appearance fees are appreciated. 

Light refreshments will be served after the program. 

Our monthly programs are made possible in part by grants from the Granville Cultural Council and donations from members and friends of the museum.

NCCHP FEATURED IN NEW BOOK "MASSACHUSETTS TREASURES"

The Noble & Cooley Center for Historic Preservation (NCCHP) was featured in a book published recently, as a "Massachusetts Treasure."

The book's author, Chuck D'Imperio selected several "marvelous, must see museums" for their uniqueness and interesting collections.

Today (July 17, 2019) at 6:30 PM the NCCHP museum presents local author M. P. Barker sharing her "Running Away To Join The Circus" program. 

Living history programs are free for museum members, donations gratefully accepted from others. Circus theme light refreshments will be served after the program. Come join the fun!

"A LAMPLIGHTER'S LIFE" LIVING HISTORY ON JUNE 19 AT NCCHP!

Dennis Picard will be at NCCHP on Wednesday, June 19 to present "A Lamplighter's Life."

From candles to whale oil to gas - illuminating the streets was a time consuming chore before electricity. Come hear Dennis talk about the people who trimmed the wicks and filled the fonts in villages and towns to aid travelers in the darkest times of the year... and how technology changed it all!
