NCCHP will be hosting tours of the historic Noble & Cooley drum shop and the NCCHP museum, with a whole lot more going on at other Harvest Fair locations nearby! Come and say hello, browse the fair, and enjoy a classic New England fall weekend.
For you fans of old vehicles, NCCHP will also bring out out the Noble & Cooley Model T truck; "Wilson's T" (was recently donated to NCCHP); the 1946 Ford American LaFrance fire engine; the Model A rumble seat coupe; and the Ferguson tractor.
NOW AND THEN: A RETROSPECTIVE

The Noble & Cooley Company was founded as a toy drum company in 1854 by Silas Noble and James P. Cooley. Fast forward 168 years to learn the history of the company as told by 6th generation descendants of Mr. Cooley.
The program combines video, diary entries, family stories and a look back at the highlights of Granville history over the last 200 years.
This is Living History at its best. Come join the fun!
This NCCHP Living History event is free to museum members and open to all. Free will donations from non-members of $5 - $10 to offset expenses are appreciated.
Light refreshments will be served after the program.

The Noble & Cooley "Business Insider" video was posted on October 24, 2021. Since then the video has had over 1.1 million views. Do we hear 2 million??
One has to wonder what co-founders Silas Noble and James P. Cooley would have to say about their little company that began in a Granville farmhouse kitchen way back in 1854.
Nearly 170 years later- still here, making the world's best drums.

On Wednesday, July 13th Dennis Picard and the Ne're Do Well band (Stan Svec, Stephen Svec and friends) will open the 2022 Living History program at the Noble & Cooley Center for Historic Preservation.
Join us at 6:30PM for the band's narration and performance of "camp music" tunes that were heard around New England town commons from 1650 to 1885.
This is Living History at its best. Come join the fun at 42 Water Street, Granville, Massachusetts.
AT LONG LAST!
After being closed for 31 months due to the Covid pandemic, the NCCHP museum plans to re-open for tours on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, from noon to 3:00PM starting on July 10th!
Members and non-members are invited to come to the museum and enjoy the guided tours and fascinating exhibits. Tours are $5 for adults, $3 for children. If you have visited in the past you will notice some new exhibits and changes to the layout. As always, donations are most welcome.
As you also know, NCCHP made membership dues "optional" during the pandemic. To those who noticed and donated anyway, thank you so much for your generosity. The operating expenses didn't go away and your dues helped defray those expenses, which did draw down (but not deplete) the museum's balance sheet.

And lastly, if you have been following NCCHP during the pandemic you will remember Wilson Rider's most generous donation of his Model T Ford to the museum. Now we need to create a proper display space for "Wilson's T" as well as the fire engine and the Noble & Cooley Model T. We hope to restore the old Granville fire station, which will allow display of Wilson's T, the fire engine, and the Noble & Cooley Model T. If we are to succeed in this task the first order of business will be new garage doors and obviously that will take money. Stay tuned, we will be looking for benefactors both large and small

The Noble & Cooley Center for Historic Preservation (NCCHP) will hold its first Board Meeting of 2022 from 10:30AM to noon on June 15, 2022 at the museum (42 Water Street, Granville, MA.).
Up for discussion are ideas for this summer's Living History presentations, Harvest Fair planning, thoughts on attracting members and volunteers, among other topics.
The meeting is open to NCCHP members and interested parties.
Please note that if there is a significant turnout Covid protocol may be required (masks).
Flag Day celebrates the adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777 by the Continental Congress.
